ABR, GRI and SRES Designations
To earn a designation, a REALTOR® a real estate agent has taken coursework and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry. Not all buyer’s representatives are equal. A buyer’s rep who has earned the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) REALTOR® designation has made an extra effort to raise the bar, with additional training and experience in serving you, the home buyer. If you work with an ABR®, you can feel more confident that you’ll receive the highest level of buyer-representation services.
The "Graduate REALTOR® Institute” (GRI) designation is obtained by attending a specific, intensive series of a minimum of 90 hours of classroom instruction, covering a variety of subjects including: contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance, and risk reduction. With this designation and through increased awareness of current topics important to the real estate professional, such as legal issues, these REALTORS® can better serve prospective clients and customers.
A Seniors Real Estate Specialist® is experienced and knowledgeable in meeting your specific needs and that can make all the difference in the world. As we age, we demand specialists in our health needs, so why not in our housing and equity needs as well?
An SRES® brings:
A customized approach to your situation, working to fit your living situation in with your overall life plan
Expertise and patience throughout the transaction
An awareness of options and a network of solid, reliable referrals to help you in the process
A variety of choices to reduce out of pocket expenses, gain cash, or create or defer income streams to either stay independent or obtain financial assistance
